 The IFRF provides a roof burner for studying
heating and emission problems in the steel industry. Easy and continuous variation of
swirl on the combustion air is provided by an IFRF movable block swirier. The shape of the
quarl, together with the high level of swirl, determines whether the flame adheres to the
quarl surface. Therefore, the quari geometry and the burner inlet conditions can be
optimized to suit the customer's specifications.
