 The
Multi-Fuel Burner, designed and tested by the IFRF, is capable of handling gaseous fuels
and fuel oils. The burner design has been experimentally verified during the Multi-Fuel
Burner program.
The burner incorporates
options for easy and continuous variation of inlet swirl and the possibilities of handling
ambient and pre-heated combustion air. Options for fuel staging, air staging and flue gas
recirculation, as effective methods of NOx, reduction with natural gas, are provided. The
experimental burner is normally supplied integrated with the IFRF movable block swirl generator.
